Have You Taken Your Medicine?

Proverbs 17:22 says, “A merry heart does good like a medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.” Have you taken your medicine today? A joyful heart isn’t just uplifting; it’s healing. On the other hand, a broken or depressed spirit is unhealthy—it drains your strength and vitality, even affecting you physically.

If you will get happier, you’ll also get healthier. Stress, prolonged grief, worry, fear, and sadness over situations you’re meant to dominate can take a toll on your physical body. But supernatural joy is like medicine that cures depression and oppression. This is the way of the Kingdom! While the world looks to natural solutions, the Kingdom operates in the supernatural, offering joy as the remedy for heaviness.

1 Corinthians 2:14 reminds us that “the person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.” Joy isn’t something you can fully grasp with your natural mind. It is a spiritual reality, a choice you make when you align your heart with the Spirit of God.

So, step out of the natural, step into the Spirit, and choose joy today. It’s time to take your medicine—joy will strengthen you, heal you, and sustain you in every season!
